What is
Speed Dating?

An Excellent Networking Opportunity!

Speed dating was started in 1995 by the AISH HATORAH as a way for single Jewish people to connect. Immediately the idea caught on and was branched out throughout the United States in some form or another. A form of Round Robin Dating, speed dating takes an equal number of men and women and places them together within a certain age group. The women stay at their tables and the men are rotated around them every 7 minutes. This might sound overwhelming to some but as the first date nears the 2nd minute, I notice that body language begins to relax and smiles start appearing.

For Example:
Lets say you are at table #5. So I start gentleman #5 at your table promtly at 7:30. At 7:37, I ring a bell and along comes gentleman #6. This continues until you meet all 8-14 men. In the past I have made groups bigger to accomodate my large waiting list but now I am trying to keep groups slightly smaller so that no one leaves the café dizzy!
It is a fun evening and I compare it to a great dinner party but with no food (great coffee though!)
